Croma is one of India’s most trusted brands and a leader in branded retail. The brand has been built over the years on the philosophy of “We Help You Buy”. However, with competition from online e-tailers like Flipkart and Snapdeal the brand was increasingly under threat to protect its domination in the Indian electronics retail market

Our challenge was to perform a delicate balancing act – and grow both store and online business.

Solution

To built a website around the principle of the brand moto “We Help you Buy”

It featured intuitive navigation to help consumers find the right product by sorting and even filtering based on the attributes he is looking for. Numerous features were added to make the experience world class including:- Quick view of products, what’s trending, best sellers, latest reviews and an innovative product comparison section

A powerful faceted search was built including suggester, synonym matching and spelling correction so the user can easily find the exact product he was looking for.

The site featured extensive user and expert reviews as well as video reviews to help consumers make a quick decision. We even added buying guides to help consumers make the right decision. The website also has a blog with reviews and tech news to increase engagement and encourage repeat visits.

The site also featured a single page checkout with numerous payment options. Croma became the first Indian retailer to offer Omni channel checkout with the unique option of buying online and pickup at store.

Results

The website also received great reviews in the Indian press. It won the Omni Channel Retailer of the year at the ET Retail Awards after winning the same at the etailing India awards 2014.
